The Dutch Kills Civic Organization was organized in 1979 to promote a greater awareness of the community to elected officials and city agencies.

The Association’s goal is to assist all segments of the community and to induce cooperation between business and residents.

By Laws and Constitution:
Article II, Section I

To promote and stimulate a more active participation in the improving and maintaining of proper services of the community in the areas of: Health, Safety, Housing, Ecology, Highways and Traffic, Sanitation, Lighting, Education, Fire, Police Protection, Youth and Senior Citizens Welfare, Planning and Zoning Development, Consumer Protection, Utilities, Fair Taxation, Water Supply and any other facility, service or any other action neccessary to maintain the community as a desireable place in which to live and work.
